Childrens and Youth activities...
are a big part of what we do at Bethany Christian Centre. All our events are staffed by volunteers who give their time to ensure children and young people can have fun and enjoy themselves in a safe environment.
Listed on this page are details of the clubs and activities we run on a weekly basis. It is not a complete list as we regularly organise additional events.
On Sundays:
The ARK
An exciting time where children are taught about Jesus in key stage classes and have fun taking part in singing, quizzes, crafts and stories while their parents can relax and enjoy the service. A crèche is also available for children under two.
ACTIV8
On Sunday mornings, seperate from the main service, we have a Bible class for school years 7 to 10. 'Activ8' encourages young people with a mixture of learning, discovering, sharing, helping and demonstrating their Christian faith.
During the week:
The JAM
Mondays from 6:30pm to 8:00pm during term time, 'The JAM' offers children from school years 4 to 6 the chance to play games and activities with other children, as well as the opportunity to learn about the Christian faith through short talks.
The PULSE
On Monday evenings 'The Pulse' is a church based activity from 7:45 to 9:00pm, featuring energetic games, life skills, video clips, role playing and thematic Bible messages for young people in school years 7 to 9..
Toddlers
Meeting at BCC on Wednesday mornings, during term times, between 9.15 - 11.00 am. Toddlers is an opportunity for Mums, Dads, Grandparents and Carers to have a coffee and a chat while the children play, listen to a story, sing or do a craft.
Youth Small Group
The youth bible study group exists for teenagers who want to get a better handle on their Bible knowledge. Through a fun and relaxed approach, students will learn how the Bible is not a dusty old book with nothing to say to them, but actually is jumping off their shelves, packed full of relevant stuff for the young person of today The group meets each Tuesday evening during term times starting at 7:30.
All Youth and Children’s Activities are carried out in accordance with the regulations and conditions laid out in our Child Protection Policy. Copies of this document are available from the Church Office on request.
