Are you familiar with “love”? No, not the feeling. The kind of love that adds value to a person, withholds judgment, calls you by name. It’s the kind of love that Jesus demonstrates. It isn’t general…it’s personal. It meets people face-to-face.

 

The call from Jesus is to put that love into action.

 

He wants us to live lives marked by forgiving, accepting, blessing, and serving others always. This can only be done if Jesus, who showed His love for us on the cross, is at work within us. That means…our ability to love others comes as a direct result from a relationship with Christ.
